Before starting Kozu Labs, Sam led Marketing Technology for Social and Display at Airbnb, working both on the supply and demand side of the business. While there, he partnered with Data Science and Engineering teams to build sophisticated ad optimization systems that drove over $1 billion in incremental GMV. In under two year, he efficiently grew the Facebook and Instagram growth marketing annual spend from effectively zero to over $100M.

Previously, he ran all of paid marketing at Teespring, while also working as a Growth product manager on projects such as a seller-facing dashboard utilizing Facebook Ads API data to implementing event analytics across the web app. Teespring grew over 10X during his tenure.

Sam has partnered closely with Facebook and Google product teams to develop cutting edge measurement tools, new ad formats, and advanced bidding models.

Alan founded Kozu Labs after independently consulting for multiple startups, ranging from seed stage to late stage.

Before that, he created and managed Lyft’s most profitable user acquisition channels for both the supply and demand sides of the business, managing monthly budgets of $1M+ across a portfolio of mobile and web channels.

Alan has founded and operates multiple growing eCommerce businesses that has sold 425,000+ units in the last 3 years.
